According to Insider, 30-year-old awardee Rapper said her husband Offset changed for her after she tried to end the marriage.
“Me and Offset, we didn't see face to face. It was like I filed for divorce the same year and that's it,” she said during an appearance on the premiere episode of Jason Lee's show.
Cardi and Offset, who have two children, were secretly married in September 2017, but she filed for divorce from rapper Migos in September 2020 amid allegations that he was unfaithful, according to People.
Cardi's divorce case against Offset was dismissed without prejudice just two months after filing.
“I'm going to let him talk about it because the main thing that really bothered me, I let him say it. I want him to say it because I feel like it's really part of his story. The main thing is that I wanted him to stop and that's it, he stopped and he changed and it showed me that he wanted to change for me,” Cardi said.
She added that she wanted him to learn a lesson, so she decided to end her marriage, but was also glad he decided to stay.
