Ida Odinga's bodyguard Barrack Oduor, allegedly slain in a love triangle battle, has been laid to rest in his home town in Siaya County.
How Ida Odinga's slain bodyguard met wife
Top opposition leaders graced the burial, including Raila Odinga, his wife Ida, whom the deceased worked for, governor James Orengo and others.
However, his gorgeous wife's speech moved people with how brave she was, eulogising her late husband.
Dressed in an all-black outfit, the widow said she was not going to cry on that burial day but rather choose to remember her husband, and she took people down memory lane.
She left mourners amused after sharing how she met Barry and how the deceased bodyguard tried to sweep her off her feet on their first encounter.
“I've lost a strong person. I've lost a friend. He loved me with all his heart. When I met him in 2011, we started living together in 2012. He took me while I was still young. When he started courting me, he said; ‘beautiful, I want you to give me your number' and I looked and him and he told me to write my number and instead of giving me a paper, he gave me KSh 10,000 notes to write for him my number,” she said.
She, however, declined to write her number despite him reassuring her that he had money to take care of her.
The widow opted to spell out the numbers, and Barry crammed some while his friend who was with them crammed the last digits.
She also told him where she worked and later narrated the encounter to her mum, who asked her to follow her heart.
Her video mourning her husband was shared on Facebook by Channel 7 News TV EA.
