Mark Masai Lands Lucrative PR Role Month After Getting Fired by NTV
Former NTV host Masi's Ark got another job barely a month after the media house fired him.
The dismissal of Mark Maasai, getting a well-paid new job
In December, an experienced news anchor emotionally announced that he had left the station after 14 years of service.
The news anchor noted that his story doesn't end as he just catches a break and comes back bigger and better.
“NTV is a great team! These are different times. It was a great show. Time for a short commercial break. I'll be back!” he declared.
Maasai's resignation came a day after Nation Media Group informed employees that they were reorganizing their workforce.
Another big name affected by the layoffs was the investigative journalist Dennis Okari.
Okari and Maasai began hosting the Social Newsroom podcast, where the latter recently announced his new role.
During an interview with Terrian, Chebet Maasai noted that his new job was lucrative.
“I got a good role with a good firm in PR and communications,” he announced, greeting his peers.
Maasai spoke of the power of prayer, saying:
“On February 20, 2020, I wrote that by the end of three years, I would begin the process of transitioning to a high-level career that would be completely different from the media.
I wrote it. Be careful what you write about and what you pray for when it comes. Be prepared for this.”
Masai noted that he will still host a podcast with Okari while allocation of some other work that he will perform.
“I will be doing corporate concerts as an MC as well as doing the work of social media influencers. Once upon a time, a journalist is always a journalist.”
Terryanna Chebets new role
Terrianna, who was also fired by Citizen TV during the premiere, recently took a new job.
She returned to CNBC after its release in 2010. Terriann first joined CNBC in 2007 as the network's producer and reporter.
She will now serve as a senior correspondent.
