Married Women Should Stop Serving Pastors Better Than Their Husbands, Elizabeth Mokoro
Elizabeth Mokoro, a Seventh Day Adventist clergywoman voted the 2022 preacher of the year by Kenyans, has offered a word of wisdom to women.
Elizabeth Mokoro's message to wives
In an undated video that surfaced online, the straight-shooting preacher urged women to give their men precedence over preachers and church elders.
According to Mokoro, women should not treat fellow congregants and clergy members better than their husbands.
Mokoro, known for her straightforwardness, told women treating men in the church better than their husbands to cease immediately.
“There is nothing in serving men in the church. If you know you cannot serve your husband better than the men in church, stop it.”
Mokoro noted that women should not prioritise preachers and elders over their partners.
“Let men in the church serve themselves. Put the food there, let them help themselves and if they don’t want to eat, they can go home.
If you know you can’t serve your husband better than you serve the elder forget about it.”
Kenyans on social media overwhelmingly agreed with Mokoro, noting that her advice was truthful. Here are some of the comments:
“That's true, l like it.”
“Very true. I can't imagine someone disrespecting the man of the house and showing off outside.”
Gift Prince Mulenga:
“That's what the word says.”
“I wish this can reach every woman.”
“So true, my hubby comes first, the rest follow. Some women adore pastors like their small gods.”
“Respect starts at home. If not, forget about it out here.”
Elizabeth Mokoro's warning to women
She urged ladies to treat their boyfriends well because there are many older women praying so that God can bless them with any type of man.
“Women in their 40s are searching. They pray that ‘God just bless me with any man I will take of him'.”
