Musician Stunned after Returning Home to Find Wife Moved out With All Household Items: “I Laughed”
A budding artiste has narrated the pain he faced after his wife moved out with their son while he was away.
Flory Redpen falls out with wife
Flory Redpen, a Nairobi singer and songwriter originally from Congo, claimed that he reprimanded her for cheating after going through her phone before she left unannounced, leaving the house empty.
According to him, he had separated from his wife before reuniting in late 2021.
“We went separate ways after I caught her cheating, but we made up because of our five year-old son,” he claimed.
According to the artiste, who has worked with Vicmass Luodollar, Sanaipei Tande and Gilad Millo, she then requested a transfer back to Nairobi, and they moved in together.
However, the honeymoon period was short-lived as she started complaining about his financial status.
“She said the only reason she came back was because she thought I was established and financially stable.”
Their relationship gradually deteriorated and would go on for extended periods without speaking. Redpen then started noticing that she spent most of the time on the phone.
“I once overheard her seemingly speaking with a man while outside the house, but she promptly hung up when I entered,” he said while accusing her of being spiteful and disrespectful.
One night, a sleepless Redpen decided to go through her phone and allegedly discovered that she was cheating.
“We got into an argument and things got noisy so I left at 3am to avoid embarrassment.”
Flory Redpen shocked to find wife moved
Redpen’s mother-in-law arrived in the morning, and they tried ironing out their issues. He spent the better part of the next day working and returned home at 8pm.
After seeing the curtains missing, he immediately knew something was amiss and soon discovered she had moved out with all household items.
“I laughed. The caretaker told me that she had told him we were moving and brought a lorry to carry our belongings.”
Redpen later learned that their son had also changed schools. The hurting musician told TUKO.co.ke he shared his painful story to encourage men to speak out.
“Many men out there are going through similar situations and keeping quiet in the name of being strong. Some end up harming themselves and others. A problems shared is half solved.”
Redpen said he is still working through the pain and acquiring other household items.
He further dismissed claims by his estranged wife that he threatened her, saying:
“She works in the government, and so does her mother. If it was true, they would have taken action against me.”
