Speaking on the Social Newsroom podcast, hosted by the last two, Terryanna said it caught her by surprise.
She said she was supposed to interview a prominent government official when she learned that her services had been suspended.
“I was at the peak of my career and I thought I was doing a good job. Later that day, I was preparing for an interview with transport CS.
I was stunned. It was hard.”
Terryanna said that locked herself in her bedroom and cried for a week, and had a lot of unanswered questions.
“It was a shock at first and then despair because I had to serve my daughter's school meetings. It also lowered my self-esteem.
The loss of my job was so public, and I remember going to the supermarket and almost crying when the security guard told me an apology.”
Terryanna denied that it was difficult to tell the news to her daughter.
“She was attending a boarding school in Gilgil and I went to explain to her that I had lost my job. It was the hardest part. But my family was very supportive, and I became close to my sisters.”
Okari, who previously lost his job at Metro FM earlier NTV terminated the contract, also admitted that dealing with sympathies from the public was the worst.
“I went to the radio station to read the news and there was a memo on the wall that my services were suspended immediately
No one explained to me why, as I had no disciplinary issues.”
Okari said he composed himself and finished reading the news, but the reality struck when he returned home and there was one.
“All of a sudden you wake up and there's nothing to do because you don't have a job.”
Masai On the other hand, he said working on the podcast gave him a purpose.
